NEC rolls MCUs for automotive apps
SAN FRANCISCO NEC Electronics America Inc. has begun offering a new line of 8- and 32-bit microcontrollers based on the company’s 0.15-micron process technology and featuring embedded flash memory optimized for automotive body and safety control applications, NEC said Tuesday (Aug. 22).

Freescale withdraws from 1394-over-coax
